ABOUT ME

Although I have always had a camera in my hand, my professional photography journey started in high school. I worked as a photojournalist for my school's yearbook committee for two years. I learned how to capture action shots on the sidelines of the football games, and I discovered my interest in lifestyle photography while taking candid photos for the clubs on campus. In my free time, I practiced my camera skills with my mom's Canon Rebel t3. My lens became familiar with the view of my horses + the wildlife and rolling landscapes of Clarke County, Mississippi.

I earned my associate degree in business at Meridian Community College, then transferred to Mississippi State University to pursue my bachelor degree in marketing. During my time at MSU, I continued to work with my camera when I wasn't busy with school. I took portraits for friends regularly and learned to edit pictures with Adobe.

Fast-forward 3 years later - I am living in Oceanside, California with my husband, Logan, and we have two dogs named Salem and Apollo that we adore! I opened up Salty Stills By Autumn Anderson in October 2024.

I have been so incredibly blessed in my life to be where I am, and I am thankful for all of my clients. As a former rodeo and FBLA agribusiness competitor, I have a deep appreciation for the Western way of life. My aspiration as a Western photographer is to provide quality photos to ranchers, farmers, equestrians, and Western enthusiasts so as to support the agricultural community of America and preserve the Western spirit.

"You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." - Matthew 5:13-16 NKJV
